Introduction

Revise Online Pty Ltd (ABN 12 345 678 901) ("Revise", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and store personal information when you use the Revise platform (reviseonline.com.au and related services).

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you are a student under 18, your parent or guardian must read this policy and consent to your use of the platform.

What we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Revise platform:

• Account information: name, email address, school (if provided), and role (student / teacher / school admin).
• Study activity: subjects enrolled, sessions started, answers submitted, scores, streak data, and goals.
• Payment information: billing email and last-4 digits of card. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by Stripe.
• Technical logs: IP address, browser, operating system, and page-visit timestamps — used for security and rate-limiting only.
• Support communications: emails and help-desk tickets you send us.

We do not collect sensitive information (health, biometric, or financial data beyond billing).

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Operate and deliver the Revise platform, including personalising adaptive practice.
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• Score your assessments and maintain your study history.
• Send you transactional emails (account creation, password reset, billing receipts).
• Provide teacher and school administrators with class-level progress data.
• Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

We do not use your personal data for advertising or sell it to any third party.

Who we share with

We share personal data with sub-processors only as necessary to operate the platform. Each sub-processor has a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in place. We never sell data or share it with advertisers.

We may disclose information if required by Australian law or a court order. We will notify you of any such request unless prohibited by law.

Sub-processors

The companies below process Revise data on our behalf. Each link opens that company's DPA or privacy policy.

Children & minors

Revise is designed for senior secondary students (Years 11–12, typically ages 15–18). Students under 18 may use the platform with consent from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 — if you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us at privacy@reviseonline.com.au and we will delete it promptly.

School accounts for under-18 students are covered by the school's DPA. Schools are responsible for obtaining parental consent where required by their jurisdiction.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act and APPs, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your study data in a portable format (CSV).
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@reviseonline.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. Export and deletion requests can also be initiated directly from your My Account page.

Cookies

Revise uses essential cookies only: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a CSRF token cookie to protect form submissions. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts.
